Sophomore Experience

As a second year student at K, there is a host of programs and experiences designed to help you navigate your way to the exciting and important guideposts that await you this year: choosing your major, thinking about minor areas of study and concentrations, deciding whether to study abroad and where, and many others.

This website is designed to be your information hub as you think about these practicalities, and also to give you guidance as you think about some big questions that college sophomores often find themselves considering.

Take some time to browse the site and familiarize yourself with its resources, and feel welcome to contact Dr. Chuck Stull, the Sophomore Class Dean, or Ms. Dana Jansma, Senior Associate Dean of Students, at any time you have a question or would like more information.

2022 Sophomore Declaration of Major (DOM)

The annual Sophomore Declaration of Major (DOM) Day is Wednesday of 5th week of winter quarter (February 2, 2022)! Sophomores will declare their majors online, but we celebrate them on this day!

Sophomores stop by the table in Hicks outside the Game Room between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. to be congratulated and pick up your “I Declared” sticker and slice of cake! DOM is a real rite of passage for sophomores where major declaration is celebrated!
